The Bender family reunion was organized Monday, September 5, 1939, when a large family gathering was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Bender, Cowing Road, Jamestown. Dinner was served at a large table on the lawn after which various games were enjoyed.
Since then, the date of the reunion has varied but is now the second Saturday of August. The location has varied throughout the years, but has been held around Jamestown, New York.
Throughout the years, we’ve lost touch with family. Addresses change, technology advances, email addresses get lost in the shuffle, and next thing you know, the reunion dwindles. This site is an attempt to make contact with those lost branches of the tribe and invite them to our annual reunion.
